Hanoi, September 4, 2024 – In an atmosphere celebrating the 55th anniversary of the implementation of President Ho Chi Minh’s Testament, the Vietnam Civil Servants’ Union solemnly held an award ceremony to honor 150 civil servants with outstanding achievements in the “Excellent Consulting, Excellent Service” emulation movement from 2019 to 2024.

Representing the tax sector, five officials from local tax departments were honored to be named in the list of commended people, including: Nguyen Thi Huong Nga – Hoa Binh Provincial Tax Department; Tran Thi Bich Van – Lam Dong Provincial Tax Department; Nguyen Van Binh – Thanh Hoa Provincial Tax Department; Le Huu Thoai – Binh Duong Provincial Tax Department; and Le Van Dung – Thua Thien Hue Provincial Tax Department.

This is a well-deserved recognition for the tireless efforts of tax officials in successfully completing their assigned tasks and contributing to building a transparent and efficient public administration. 

The “Excellent Consulting, Excellent Service” movement was launched in 2019 with the aim of improving work quality, innovating service styles, and better meeting the needs of people and businesses. Over the years, the movement has received positive responses from all levels of unions, agencies, units, and especially from civil servants.

The tax sector is one of the leading units in implementing and carrying out the movement. With the motto “The tax agency is a companion of taxpayers,” tax officials have continuously innovated, applied information technology to improve service quality, reduce administrative procedures, and create favorable conditions for people and businesses.

Outstanding achievements of the tax sector in the emulation movement:

• Strong innovation: The tax sector has actively applied information technology to build an electronic government, creating favorable conditions for people and businesses to carry out online tax procedures.
• Improving service quality: Tax officials are always ready to support and guide people and businesses in resolving tax-related issues quickly and effectively.
• Preventing corruption: The tax sector has strengthened inspection, supervision, and strictly handled violations of the law, contributing to building a clean and strong administration.

The award ceremony is an opportunity to recognize and commend outstanding individuals, as well as to motivate all civil servants in the tax sector to continue striving to successfully complete their assigned tasks, contributing to building a strong and civilized country.
