Enhancing Taxpayer Information, Communication, and Support

The Party Committee of the General Department of Taxation has issued Resolution No. 30-NQ/DU on strengthening taxpayer information, communication, and support through a variety of forms and rich content to enable taxpayers to easily access information and fulfill their obligations in accordance with tax laws.
 

The content of Resolution 30-NQ/DU states: The Party Committee of the General Department of Taxation directs tax authorities to provide, disseminate, and update taxpayers (TPs) and other organizations and individuals with full and timely tax laws and tax management information in order to raise awareness and social consensus on the State’s tax work; to apply information technology to support TPs in order to reduce the cost of tax administrative procedures, while enhancing voluntary compliance of TPs.

The Resolution identifies six groups of tasks:

  1. Develop taxpayer communication and support programs tailored to the information needs of different taxpayer groups. Develop and improve the taxpayer support database; Develop taxpayer support handbooks for each group of key tax policy and administrative procedure topics.
  2. Upgrade and operate the Tax Industry’s website in a user-friendly, practical, and effective manner; expand tax communication and support on social media platforms.
  3. Implement a one-stop, one-door electronic tax administrative procedure settlement mechanism.
  4. Provide electronic guidance, explanation, and information search services for TPs; maintain other forms of support for TPs in localities and TP groups with limited access to information technology applications.
  5. Develop criteria and implement a taxpayer satisfaction survey on tax authority services.
  6. Perfect the taxpayer communication and support process to cover all types of communication and support; monitor and evaluate the results of communication and support through the application of information technology.

The Party Committee of the General Department of Taxation requires all Party committees and heads of units under the General Department of Taxation to be responsible for organizing and implementing this Resolution seriously. Party committees, party organizations, agencies, organizations, party members, civil servants, officials, and union members must uphold their responsibility, political determination, self-awareness, exemplary conduct, and promote proactiveness and creativity to resolutely and effectively implement the Resolution.
