🏦 FDI Enterprises Strengthen Confidence in Vietnam’s Policies

At the 2025 Ho Chi Minh City Leaders’ Meeting with the Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) Business Community, representatives from international business associations highly praised Vietnam’s transparent, stable, and predictable investment environment.

According to Erick Contreras, Vice Chairman of the European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (EuroCham), most member companies believe Vietnam’s short-term economic outlook is positive, with 80% confident in the country’s long-term growth potential over the next five years.

⚙️ Improving Legal Framework and Administrative Procedures

Travis Mitchell, Executive Director of the American Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (AmCham), emphasized that in the face of global trade volatility, Vietnam must continue to maintain a stable and reliable policy framework.

He highlighted that streamlining licensing procedures, customs clearance, and ensuring consistent tax policies among localities are key factors in strengthening investor confidence and reducing operational risks for FDI companies.

AmCham also encouraged Vietnam to enhance legal clarity in e-commerce, cybersecurity, and creative industries, facilitating cross-border data flow and attracting more high-tech investment.

📈 Business Confidence Index Hits Three-Year High

According to EuroCham’s Q3 2025 Business Confidence Index (BCI) report, the index reached 66.5 points — the highest in three years and surpassing pre-tax-adjustment levels.

This figure reflects strong investor trust in Vietnam’s reform efforts and Ho Chi Minh City’s leadership role in driving digital transformation, high-tech industry development, and international trade expansion.

🌍 Ho Chi Minh City – Vietnam’s FDI Magnet and Global Gateway

Representatives from organizations such as the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) highlighted that Ho Chi Minh City continues to lead Vietnam in attracting FDI, particularly in technology manufacturing, e-commerce, and innovation.

Japanese and European enterprises also stressed the need for simplified administrative procedures and greater transparency, helping Vietnam maintain a competitive and efficient investment environment in the region.

💬 Vietnam Remains a Safe and Attractive Investment Destination

With its stable policies, strong reform commitments, and continuously improving legal infrastructure, Vietnam is reinforcing its position as a strategic investment destination in Asia.
The growing trust of FDI enterprises is the clearest evidence of Vietnam’s long-term appeal and global competitiveness.
