Hai Duong state budget collection reaches 74% of target in 6 months, ranking 8th in the country

A conference to review the tax work in the first 6 months of the year and deploy tasks for the last 6 months of 2024 was held in Hai Duong on July 17 with the participation of a large number of delegates. The conference was attended by General Director of the General Department of Taxation Mai Xuan Thanh, Deputy General Director Phi Van Tuan, Hai Duong Provincial Party Secretary Tran Duc Thang, representatives of units under the General Department of Taxation, leaders of the Hai Duong Provincial Tax Department and departments and branches. The conference highly appreciated the locality’s impressive tax results in the face of many difficulties, and at the same time set out specific directions for the remaining 6 months.
 

Highlights of Hai Duong’s state budget collection picture:

  • Total state budget revenue reached VND 12,493 billion, equivalent to 74% of the plan, up 46% over the same period in 2023.
  • 13/15 revenue items, tax revenue increased, notably revenue from SOEs, CIT, VAT, land lease revenue and land use revenue.
  • Hai Duong’s state budget collection speed ranks 8th among 63 localities nationwide.

Effective support for businesses in tax payment:

  • Hai Duong Tax Department has received 352 tax refund applications, refunded VND 1,687.2 billion to enterprises, exceeding 48.2% of the plan and increasing 110% over the same period in 2023.
  • Successfully deployed e-invoices for 100% of retail gasoline stations in the province.

Deputy General Director Phi Van Tuan highly appreciated the efforts of the Hai Duong Tax Department:

  • Encourage to continue to promote state budget collection, strive to achieve the set goals.

Directions for the last 6 months of the year:

  • Focus on drastically implementing tax management solutions, ensuring discipline and order.
  • Effectively apply support packages for exemption, reduction and extension of tax payment for enterprises.
  • Strengthen propaganda work to raise people’s awareness of tax payment.
  • Expand the implementation of e-invoices.
  • Improve the quality of the tax staff.
  • Clearly divide responsibilities, enhance sense of responsibility and office culture.
