Strengthening Discipline and Diligence, Striving to Complete Assigned Political Tasks

On August 22, 2024, Mr. Mai Xuan Thanh, Director General of the General Department of Taxation, signed and issued Official Letter No. 3716/TCT-VP to the Heads of departments and agencies under the General Department of Taxation, and Directors of the Taxation Departments of provinces and centrally-run cities regarding the tightening of discipline and diligence to effectively complete tasks towards the 80th Anniversary of the Vietnam Tax Sector.
 

Official Letter No. 3716/TCT-VP clearly states:

Towards the 80th Anniversary of the Vietnam Tax Sector (September 10, 1945 – September 10, 2025), the General Department of Taxation requests the heads of tax agencies at all levels to continue promoting administrative reforms, improving the administrative reform index; to promote and expand new solutions, breakthrough innovations, and practical measures that have been effectively applied to tax administration.

Concurrently, it is necessary to promptly support and facilitate citizens and businesses; strengthen discipline and diligence in the implementation of public duties, rectify working methods, attitudes, and behavior, serve taxpayers in the best way, combat corruption and negativity, and enhance the effectiveness of tax administration.

Accordingly, tax agencies at all levels need to focus on implementing the following key tasks:

  • Promote administrative procedure reforms, deploy information technology applications to effectively serve tax administration and provide the best support for taxpayers.
  • Focus on striving to complete the State budget collection task.
  • Organize a political study session throughout the agency to rectify, popularize, and thoroughly disseminate discipline and diligence in tax management.
  • Launch an emulation movement within the agency towards the 80th Anniversary of the Vietnam Tax Sector.
  • The General Department of Taxation calls on civil servants, officials, and employees to promote the fine traditions of the Tax sector over 79 years of building and development, enhance a sense of responsibility, overcome difficulties, successfully complete the political tasks of the sector, and meet new requirements as per the Government’s Resolution, the Prime Minister’s Directive, and the Minister of Finance’s Directive, striving to achieve even more outstanding achievements to celebrate the 80th Anniversary of the Finance Sector and the 80th Anniversary of the Vietnam Tax Sector.

The General Department of Taxation requests the Heads of departments and agencies under the General Department of Taxation to seriously implement this. If any difficulties arise during the implementation process, please report to the General Department of Taxation for consideration and guidance.
