The General Department of Taxation requests to speed up the settlement of administrative procedures, creating maximum convenience for taxpayers

In the context of administrative procedure reform and creating a favorable business environment, the General Department of Taxation has recently issued an official letter directing its subordinate units to promptly resolve administrative procedures and remove difficulties and obstacles for taxpayers.
 

According to Official Letter No. 3882/TCT-VP dated August 30, 2024, despite many efforts to resolve the backlog of work, some units still have delays in processing administrative procedures, affecting the rights of taxpayers.

In view of this situation, the General Department of Taxation requires the Tax Departments of provinces, cities, and subordinate units to strictly implement the following contents:

  • Review and finalize pending backlog of work: Units must focus on promptly processing administrative procedures and difficulties of taxpayers, especially those that are overdue. Issues beyond their authority must be reported to higher levels for timely resolution.
  • Report on the resolution of difficulties: Tax Departments must review, compile, and report to the General Department of Taxation on difficulties and proposals that have been previously presented but have not yet been resolved.
  • Speed ​​up the progress of resolving difficulties: Subordinate units of the General Department of Taxation must have specific solutions to speed ​​up the progress of resolving difficulties and proposals of the Tax Departments and organizations, individuals.

The objective of this letter is to:

  • Improve the efficiency of administrative procedure resolution: Reduce the time and procedures, creating favorable conditions for taxpayers.
  • Build a transparent and fair business environment: Ensure the legitimate rights of taxpayers and create confidence for businesses investing in Vietnam.
  • Improve the image of the tax sector: Contribute to building the image of a professional tax sector that is dedicated to serving the people and businesses.
