Two New Deputy Directors Appointed to Lead Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department

On the morning of November 18th, the General Department of Taxation held a conference to announce the appointment of Mr. Phan Van Dung and Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Phuong as Deputy Directors of the Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department. Deputy General Director of the General Department of Taxation, Mai Son, chaired the conference. In attendance were members of the City Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, Nguyen Van Dung; representatives of departments, agencies of Ho Chi Minh City, and representatives of a number of units under the General Department of Taxation.
 

At the conference, a representative of the Organization and Cadre Department (General Department of Taxation) announced Decision No. 1826/QD-TCT appointing Mr. Phan Van Dung, Director of Thu Duc City Tax Department, and Decision No. 1828/QD-TCT appointing Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Phuong, Head of the Tax Declaration and Accounting Department, as Deputy Directors of the Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department.

Speaking at the conference on behalf of the leadership of the General Department of Taxation, Deputy General Director Mai Son congratulated the Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department on the addition of two Deputy Directors from human resources on the spot, contributing to the strengthening of the leadership apparatus. According to the Deputy General Director, Ho Chi Minh City holds a significant position and is the economic powerhouse of the country, therefore, the appointment of key leadership positions from on-site officials, recognizing the special attention of the Ministry of Finance, the City Party Committee, the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, and the General Department of Taxation to the Tax Department.

Deputy General Director Mai Son expressed his confidence that with their experience and capacity, Mr. Phan Van Dung and Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Phuong, together with the leadership of the Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department, will successfully complete all tasks in the coming time.

Deputy General Director Mai Son requested that the two Deputy Directors seek the attention, guidance, and direction of the City Party Committee, the People’s Council, the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, the Ministry of Finance, and the General Department of Taxation; unite and agree within the leadership of the Tax Department and all civil servants of the Tax Department to work together with the Department’s leadership to direct and manage the Tax Department to successfully complete all assigned tasks in 2024 and the following years.

“I request that the comrades in the leadership and civil servants of the Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department continue to unite, agree, and create all favorable conditions for Mr. Phan Van Dung and Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Phuong to complete their assigned tasks,” Deputy General Director Mai Son emphasized.

Speaking on behalf of those receiving the appointment, newly appointed Deputy Director Phan Van Dung expressed his gratitude to the leadership of the Ministry of Finance and the leadership of the General Department of Taxation for their trust in selecting and assigning him to the new position, and promised to continue promoting the tradition of solidarity, striving in his work, and contributing to building the Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department as a strong and comprehensive unit of the Tax sector.
